DARK INNER THIGHS: causes, prevention and home remedies





Dark skin on the inner thighs occurs when the skin in that area produces abundance of melanin. This is called hyper-pigmentation.


This hyper-pigmentation of the inner thighs can sometimes spread to the groin areas. This may look a bit unwelcoming.


Causes


There are number of reason may experience darkening of the inner thigh.


1) Chafing - This is usual among bigger persons and it's the commonest cause of Inner thigh discoloration. It occurs during some kind of exercise & walk.


2) Hormonal Imbalance - Particularly among women during pregnancy, lactation and menstruation.


3) Dry Skin


4) Friction from tight clothings


Home Remedies


1) COCONUT OIL & LEMON JUICE


Coconut oil serves as a moisturizer while lemon is packed with vitamin C to exfoliate the skin. HOW TO USE; Combine few teaspoons of of coconut oil and squeeze out half average sized lemon. Rub the mixture on affected area & massage for about 10minutes. Then Wash off area.


2) SUGAR,LEMON & HONEY SCRUB


Sugar is very good for skin exfoliation & brightening. HOW TO USE; Mix juice from half lemon bulb with one teaspoon of sugar and one tablespoon of honey. The mixture is a greasy scrub... Scrub gently unto the areas and leave for about 20minutes before washing off.


BAKING SODA PASTE


Baking soda helps lighten skin but should be used with caution. It may be harsh and irritate certain kind of skin type ( if it is then discontinue use) even if it is highly effective. HOW TO USE; Mix baking soda with water to form a paste. Rub paste on discoloration and leave for about 15minutes before rinsing off.


4) ALOE VERA


Aloe is still the queen of natural remedies for it's minimal side effects. Directly apply aloe gel from the plant on the affected area and leave for about 20minutes then Wash off.


TOOTHPASTE AND LEMON


Mix toothpaste with juice from fresh lemon and rub generously on area. Leave for 15minutes and wash of. Women should prevent the mixture from going inside their privates.


Prevention


- Wear bicycle shorts or nylon material intermittently


- keep inner thighs clean and we'll exfoliated or moisturized


-Wear loose dress especially at home or breathable dress that prevent friction and sweat.


- Avoid frequent shaving or waxing of those areas


- You might consider managing your body massage as bigger people have more tendencies of having it.
